PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method, wherein invasiveness is suppressed to the minimum, wherein a required amount of metals is minimized, and wherein treatment having reliability and reproducibility is executed, in the repair of a damaged rotator cuff.SOLUTION: The apparatus and method are an apparatus and method for an arthroscope arthroscopic rotator cuff repair incorporating a transhumeral bone tunnel. The apparatus comprises a number of components that can also be considered a repair system to include a drill guide, a marking hook, and a drill with a removable tip that serves as a bone anchor. In another aspect, the apparatus is provided a suture for anchoring both flexible tissue and the bone anchor, reducing pressure transmitted to the anchor by secondary anchoring of the sutures within the bone tunnel based on the outer shape of the anchor. In an additional aspect of the apparatus and method, the components of a drill guide assembly includes a cannular marking hook and a drill guide with multiple bores. The method includes the method for the arthroscopic repair rotator cuff, and a method for activating an inplantable anchor.
