PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner from which a sufficient amount of ions are sent, while preventing a user from touching a discharge electrode.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a duct 22 forming a ventilation flue 20, an ion generator 26 arranged in the ventilation flue, while having a needle-like discharge electrode 41 generating ions by discharge, and can be attached removably to the duct 22, and an electrode protection cover 61 provided in the ion generator 26 and protecting the discharge electrode 41.
