A dental device, comprising: fastening means for attaching said dental device to pre-selected teeth of the upper jaw of the patient； restraining means connected to the fastening means and located above the patient’s tongue and made in the form of limiting the movement of the posterior region of the patient’s tongue, preventing the back region from sticking to the palate, while at least allowing the front region and the lateral edges of the patient’s tongue to move for speech and swallowing. 2. The dental device according to claim 1, wherein the restraint is located approximately at the level of the cervical gum, at least about 2 mm above the patient’s tongue while the patient’s tongue is in a resting position without contact with the patient’s palate. The dental device according to claim 1, wherein the fastening means comprises first and second rings located respectively on two opposite molars or small molars of the upper jaw of the patient, wherein the first and second rings are tightened on two opposite molars. The dental device according to claim 1, wherein the restraining means comprises a handle extending backward in the patient’s cheek pocket and containing a metal wire located above the patient’s occlusion plane, said device further comprising first and second sleeves receiving the ends of the handle.
