The present invention relates to a method for processing a blood vessel image comprising: i) an adaptive regional binarization step of dividing the image into regions, setting a critical value for each region based on an average value or a standard deviation value of image pixels within each of the regions, and then binarizing blood vessels and non-blood vessels based on the critical value ii) a morphology calculation processing step of performing morphology calculation for correcting noise that is included in the image which has undergone the adaptive regional binarization iii) a step of thinning for thinning the image which has undergone the morphology calculation and for extracting blood vessel lines iv) a blood vessel direction and width measuring step of identifying the extracted blood vessels within each of the regions from the image which has undergone thinning, and measuring the width of the blood vessels by analyzing the gray profile of the blood vessels that is perpendicular to the direction of the blood vessels and v) an adaptive Gabor filtering step of selectively applying the most appropriate Gabor filter to each of the regions by considering the direction and the width of the blood vessels, which are measured in step iv).Linvention concerne un procédé de traitement dune image de vaisseaux sanguins, qui comprend: i) une étape de binarisation locale adaptative consistant à diviser limage en zones, à définir une valeur critique pour chaque zone sur la base dune valeur moyenne ou dune valeur décarts types de pixels dimage à lintérieur de chaque zone, puis à binariser des vaisseaux sanguins et des vaisseaux non sanguins en fonction de la valeur critique ii) une étape de traitement par calcul morphologique consistant à effectuer un calcul morphologique de correction du bruit inclus dans limage soumise à la binarisation locale adaptative iii) une étape damincissement consistant à amincir limage soumise au calcul morphologique, et dextraction de lignes de vais
