PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting proliferation of a tumor in a cancer patient having renal failure, or treating the cancer patient.SOLUTION: A method includes a step of administering an effective dose of Lipoplatin to a patient, which inhibits proliferation of a tumor or treats cancer. Lipoplatin (trademark) is a therapeutic composition, and is described as cisplatin micelle which contains cisplatin in its aqueous solution form. Furthermore, a second chemotherapeutic agent can be administered to the patient.
