In prior art there is a need for improved substances and methods for detectingMycoplasmaHyopneumoniae and preventing or treating infection of pulmonary epitheliumcells,particularly in swine. The present invention provides aptamers,polynucleotides, and nucleicacid molecules, which include a polynucleotide sequence capable ofspecifically bindingpolypeptides participating in M. Hyopneumoniae infection. Also provided aremethods ofusing nucleic acid molecules, polynucleotides and synthetic antibodiesdirected there againstfor detection, treating and neutralization of M. Hyopneumoniae infection.
