In prior art there is a need for improved substances and methods for detectingMycoplasmaHyopneumoniae and preventing or treating infection of pulmonary epitheliumcells,particularly in swine. The present invention provides aptamers,polynucleotides, and nucleicacid molecules, which include a polynucleotide sequence capable ofspecifically bindingpolypeptides participating in M. Hyopneumoniae infection. Also provided aremethods ofusing nucleic acid molecules, polynucleotides and synthetic antibodiesdirected there againstfor detection, treating and neutralization of M.
