There is provided a method for capturing an edentulous patients denture preferences, having the steps of : accepting a first digital image of the patient, presenting a plurality of denture options to the patient, receiving a selection of the denture options, and outputting a second digital image of the patient. There is also provided an apparatus for manipulating digital images of an edentulous patient, comprising an image input that accepts a first digital image of the patient, a user interface that presents a plurality of denture options to the patient, and that receives a selection of the denture options, and an image output that outputs a second digital image of the patient. The second digital image represents dentures installed in the patient according to the selection of the denture options.La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de capturer les préférences en termes de prothèses dentaires dun patient édenté. Ledit procédé comporte les étapes suivantes : acceptation dune première image numérique du patient présentation dune pluralité doptions de prothèses dentaires au patient réception dune sélection des options de prothèses dentaires et sortie dune seconde image numérique du patient. Linvention concerne également un appareil de manipulation dimages numériques dun patient édenté, comprenant les éléments suivants : une entrée dimage qui accepte une première image numérique du patient une interface utilisateur qui présente une pluralité doptions de prothèses dentaires au patient, et qui reçoit une sélection des options de prothèses dentaires et une sortie dimage qui produit une seconde image numérique du patient. La seconde image numérique représente des prothèses dentaires installées dans le patient selon la sélection des options de prothèses dentaires.
