A lid member is mountable to an uppermost box so as to substantially seal the internal space. The lid member has a plurality of vents formed therein to facilitate ingress and/or egress of air into the internal space. The end walls of each box has an internal surface configured to support a plurality of frame members therebetween so as to extend across the internal space to provide a surface for supporting the bees.
