A method for whitening teeth is disclosed. The method includes supplying a liquid sufficient to at least partially submerge a portion of a tooth positioning a plasma device adjacent to the submerged portion of the tooth supplying ionizable media to the plasma device and igniting the ionizable media at the plasma device sufficient to form a plasma effluent in the presence of the liquid at the distal portion, whereby the plasma effluent reacts with the liquid to form at least one reactive species that interacts selectively with foreign matter disposed on the tooth.Procédé de blanchiment des dents consistant : à utiliser un liquide en quantité suffisante pour immerger au moins partiellement une partie de la dent à disposer un dispositif à plasma contre la partie immergée de la dent à fournir un milieu ionisable au dispositif à plasma et à enflammer le milieu ionisable dans le dispositif à plasma, ceci suffisamment pour former un effluent plasmatique en présence du liquide dans la partie distale, cet effluent plasmatique réagissant avec le liquide pour former au moins une espèce réactive qui interagit sélectivement avec des dépôts sur la dent.
