This invention relates to a method for forming growth factor on the surface of a metal implant and a metal implant. The method includes the following steps: (a) providing a metal implant having a surface (b) degreasing and removing impurities from the surface of the metal implant (c) performing a surface treatment step, the surface treatment step being selected from one of the following: (c1) immersing the metal implant in a solution containing silane coupling agent and (c2) immersing the metal implant in a solution containing biological cross-linking agent and (d) performing a growth factor grafting step to make growth factors grafted on the surface of the metal implant. The present invention uses grafting manner to make growth factors firmly bonded to the surface of the metal implant, thus preventing the growth factors from being falling off during the process of rotating implantation into human body.本發明係關於一種金屬植體表面形成生長因子之方法及金屬植體,該方法包括以下步驟:(a)提供一金屬植體,該金屬植體具有一表面;(b)對該金屬植體之表面進行一脫脂及去雜質步驟;(c)進行一表面處理步驟,該表面處理步驟選自如下的一種:(c1)將該金屬植體浸入一含有矽烷偶合劑之溶液中及(c2)將該金屬植體浸入一含有生物交聯劑之溶液中;以及(d)進行一生長因子接枝步驟,以使生長因子接枝於該金屬植體之表面。本發明係利用接枝方式使生長因子穩固地鍵結於金屬植體之表面,進而可防止生長因子在金屬植體旋轉植入人體的過程中脫落。
