PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope camera which improves working efficiency by enabling intuitive and reliable understanding of a subject for observation and a positional relationship of instruments operated by an observer in the work under an endoscope and an endoscope video system.
SOLUTION: The endoscope camera 1 is equipped with the main body of a casing body 10 including a lens-barrel part 12 on the distal end side and a base part 11 on the proximal end side, a group 2 of lenses provided on the lens-barrel part 12 of the main body of the casing body 10, an image pickup device 3 provided on the main body of the casing body 10, a control signal receiving part 7 provided on the main body of the casing body 10 for receiving control signals from the outside, and a driving means (a light source driving circuit part 8) which is provided on the main body of the casing body 10 and operates from the control signals received by the part 7. Moreover, this invention relates to the endoscope camera system equipped with the endoscope camera 1 and a monitor for displaying images captured by the endoscope camera 1, and an image displaying surface for the monitor is arranged on the basis of an optical axis of the lens-barrel 12 in the main body of the casing body 10 of the endoscope camera 1.
