1. A method of treating at least one cerebral artery in a subarachnoid space at risk of rupture due to damage to the human brain, comprising: a) providing a sustained release, flowing microdispersed composition, comprising: (i) a microdispersed composition containing a therapeutic amount of at least one therapeutic agent, while the microdispersed composition is different: (i) a variety of microparticles with a uniform size distribution, (ii) the dispersion of the therapeutic quantity the substance of the therapeutic agent throughout the entire volume of each microparticle, in the core surrounded by the coating; adsorption to particles, or a combination thereof; and where the therapeutic amount is effective for treating delayed complications from rupture of the cerebral artery, (ii) and a pharmaceutical carrier; and b) administering the composition locally to the ventricle of the brain so that the microdispersed composition enters from the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) into the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the subarachnoid space before releasing the therapeutic agent in the subarachnoid space, where the therapeutic agent contacts and flows around at least one cerebral artery in the subarachnoid space, without entering the systemic circulation in an amount causing undesirable side effects. 2. The method according to claim 1, where each microparticle contains a matrix. The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one therapeutic agent is a calcium channel blocker, an endothelin antagonist, a transient receptor potential (TRP) protein antagonist, or a combination thereof1.
