Embodiments of the present disclosure relate specifically to systems and methods that utilize biomarker panel data for medical devices and methods. In one embodiment, a medical system is included having an external programmer device and an implantable medical device, the implantable medical device configured to communicate with the programmer through a telemetry interface. The external programmer device can be configured to receive data relating to one or more levels of a biomarker panel of a patient biological sample, wherein the biomarker panel includes CRP, SGP-130, sIL- 2R, sTNFR-n, IFNg, BNP, sST2, MMP-2, MMP-9, TEVIP-1, TEVIP-2, and TIMP-4.
