PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for solving a problem that the effects of nutrients do often not reach expected effects, when one of various nutrient preparations, such as saccharide preparations, protein amino acid preparations, vitamin preparations, inorganic substance preparations or their proper nutrient mixture preparations, for improving nutritive states is administered to a patient under a pathophysiological state, and further a problem that a side effect due to an ingredient contained in the nutritive preparation is worried.SOLUTION: This trace element preparation which is useful for patients who have normally acting manganese excretion functions, when manganese is administered, but are forced to rely on high calorie intravenous nutrient supply, because the oral or transintestinal supply of nutrients is impossible or insufficient, and is used for normally maintaining the manganese concentration of the patient in blood, is characterized by being mixed with a high calorie infusion solution and being administered at a manganese element dose of 0.2 to 1.5 &eta mole per day.COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO【課題】病態生理下にある患者に対し、栄養状態の改善を目的として各種の栄養製剤、例えば糖類製剤、たん白アミノ酸製剤、ビタミン製剤、無機質製剤、これら各種栄養成分(栄養素)の適宜の混合製剤、等が投与されているが、その栄養効果について期待されるに至らなかった例が見られ、また栄養製剤に含まれる成分による副作用も懸念されているところ、このような問題点の解消手段を提供すること。【解決手段】マンガンを投与したときにマンガン排泄機能が正常に働き、且つ経口および経腸管栄養補給が不能、不充分で高カロリー静脈栄養に頼らざるを得ない患者用の微量元素製剤であって、高カロリー輸液と混注されるべき、且つ1日当りマンガンをマンガン元素量として0.2~1.5μmolの量で投与されるべきことを特徴とする前記患者の血液中のマンガン濃度を正常に維持するための微量元素製剤。
