PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly sterilize the whole area in a vessel by irradiating the vessel with an electron beam from its opening.SOLUTION: An electron beam sterilizer 1 includes: a conveying mechanism 2 for holding a preform 3 (vessel) with a gripper 5 and conveying it； an electron beam irradiation mechanism 4 arranged in a sterilization section A and irradiating the preform 3 with an electron beam EB； a pair of magnets 6, 6 arranged in the sterilization section A along the conveying direction； and a pair of right and left yokes 7, 7 inserted between the magnets 6, 6 and the preform 3 when raised to an upper end. When the preform 3 passes through the sterilization section A while being irradiated with the electron beam EB, the yokes 7, 7 are raised to the upper end by a lifting mechanism 8 and are inserted between the preform 3 and a pair of the magnets 6, 6. Consequently, the flow of magnetic flux generated by the magnets 6, 6 and the yokes 7, 7 in the preform 3 is changed over the range from the bottom 3b to the opening 3a of the preform and the whole area in the preform 3 is thus certainly irradiated with the electron beam EB.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】開口部から容器に電子線を照射して容器内の全域を確実に殺菌する。【解決手段】電子線殺菌装置１は、プリフォーム３（容器）をグリッパ５で保持して搬送する搬送機構２と、殺菌区間Ａに設けられてプリフォーム３に向けて電子線ＥＢを照射する電子線照射機構４と、殺菌区間Ａの搬送方向に沿って配置された一対の磁石６、６と、上昇端まで上昇された際に上記磁石６、６とプリフォーム３との間に挿入される左右一対のヨーク７、７を備えている。 プリフォーム３が電子線ＥＢを照射されながら殺菌区間Ａを通過する際に、昇降機構８によってヨーク７、７が上昇端まで上昇されてプリフォーム３と一対の磁石６、６との間に挿入される。これにより、磁石６、６とヨーク７、７、によるプリフォーム３内の磁力線の流れが底部３ｂから開口部３ａにわたって変更されて、電子線ＥＢがプリフォーム３内の全域に確実に照射される。【選択図】 図３
