The present invention relates to a method for purifying a Factor VIII (FVIII) subspecies from a composition comprising FVIII, comprising an anion exchange chromatography step, a size exclusion chromatography step and a concentration step. The present invention also relates to compositions comprising purified FVIII subspecies. In particular, in an effort to develop a method for purifying a Factor VIII subspecies from a composition comprising Factor VIII, we have two chromatography steps, an anion exchange chromatography step and a size.
