Disclosed are methods for treating a plant infection caused by a fungus of the phylum basidiomycota, comprising applying to the plant a combination of tea tree oil (TTO) and a synthetic fungicidal compound such as copper hydroxide. The composition is used to treat rust infection in coffee pants, garlic plants, green onions, and soybean.
