The present invention describes a method for treating a plant material, said method comprising the following steps: - exposing the plant material to vacuum impregnation in an aqueous solution； - applying a pulsed electrical field (PEF) treatment to the plant material in the aqueous solution before, simultaneously as or after exposing the plant material to vacuum impregnation in an aqueous solution； - applying a drying step to the PEF treated plant material for removing water/moisture from surfaces of the plant material before packing the treated plant material； said method also comprising an active step for preventing microbial contamination of the aqueous solution.La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'une matière végétale, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : - exposition de la matière végétale à une imprégnation sous vide dans une solution aqueuse ； - application d'un traitement par champ électrique pulsé (PEF) à la matière végétale dans la solution aqueuse avant, pendant ou après l'exposition de la matière végétale à l'imprégnation sous vide dans une solution aqueuse ； - application d'une étape de séchage à la matière végétale traitée par PEF pour éliminer l'eau/l'humidité des surfaces de la matière végétale avant le conditionnement de la matière végétale traitée ； ledit procédé comprenant également une étape active pour empêcher la contamination microbienne de la solution aqueuse.
