PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization body with active oxygen eliminating ability and an air purifier capable of removing odors generated in a living space such as a room or a vehicle by an absorbing agent with physical absorption action and a transition metal oxide and removing active oxygen by an antioxidant for eliminating the active oxygen and the transition metal oxide for improving the eliminating speed, while compaction is difficult since it is needed to separately install a filter for decomposing non-reacting active oxygen and an application as a simple type deodorization filter to be loaded on an air conditioner or the like is difficult by a conventional method for decomposing and removing injurious substances and odorants using the active oxygen.
SOLUTION: The deodorization body with the active oxygen eliminating ability comprises the absorbing agent 4 with the physical absorption action, the transition metal oxide 5, the antioxidant 6 with active oxygen eliminating ability and a carrier 3 for carrying them, and the transition metal oxide has oxidation catalyst action to the odorants and also has activity for accelerating the active oxygen elimination of the antioxide. The deodorization body with the active oxygen eliminating ability capable of simultaneously removing the injurious substances, the odorants and the active oxygen generated in the living space such as a room or a vehicle is provided.
