PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel having a clutch mechanism and return mechanism of an excellent durability and corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: A clutch plate of a clutch mechanism 20 is movable between a clutch ON position and a clutch OFF position. Between a frame and a clutch plate 25, a resin support member 27 is provided for movably supporting the clutch plate 25 over a whole region in which the clutch plate 25 moves. A clutch operation piece 31 and a switching spring 31a are provided on the support member 27, the clutch operation piece 31 returning the clutch plate 25 to the clutch ON position and the switching spring 31a switching an engagement and detachment of the clutch operation piece 31. A support edge 31b of the switching spring 31a is configured to support the support member 27.
