Methods, systems, computer-readable media and devices for obtaining blood pressure measurements are presented. Blood pressure measurements can be obtained by determining the pulse-transit time (PTT) as a function of the photoplethysmography (PPG) measurement and the ECG (electrocardiogram) measurement. The mobile device includes an outer body that is sized to be portable by a user of the mobile device. The mobile device also includes a plurality of light emitting components distributed along at least a portion of the mobile device and a plurality of light collecting components configured to measure reflected light reflected from the blood vessels within the user from the plurality of light emitting components. The luminescent and condensing components are distributed along at least a portion of the mobile device.
