PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide protein for treating Alzheimers disease, familial Danish dementia, and familial British dementia in mammals including human.SOLUTION: There is provided use of Bri2 (integral membrane protein 2B, ITM2B) for reducing coagulation of Aβ-peptide to amyloid fibril. Protein to be used is selected from: protein containing amino acid sequence which has at least 70% of identity to the residue of 90 to 236 of human-derived Bri2 and protein containing amino acid sequence which has at least 70% of identity to one of a Brichos domain of Bri2 derived from human, chimpanzee, bovine, swine, mouse or rat. However, isolated protein does not contain amino acid sequence having at least 70% of identity to the residue of 1 to 89 of human-derived Bri2, or to human ABri23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】ヒトを含む哺乳動物における、アルツハイマー病、家族性デンマーク型認知症及び家族性英国型認知症の治療ための蛋白質の提供。
