The present invention is directed to a method of preparing an artificial tooth primordium in vitro, comprising the steps: a) providing isolated mesenchymal dental pulp cells and b) culturing the mesenchymal dental pulp cells under non-adherent conditions to form a cell aggregate representing an artificial tooth primordium as well as to an artificial tooth primordium derived therefrom.La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation dune ébauche dentaire artificielle in vitro, comprenant les étapes consistant à : a) fournir des cellules mésenchymateuses isolées issues de la pulpe dentaire et b) cultiver les cellules mésenchymateuses issues de la pulpe dentaire dans des conditions non adhérentes pour former un agrégat cellulaire représentant une ébauche dentaire artificielle. La présente invention concerne en outre une ébauche dentaire artificielle ainsi obtenue.
