A dispensing device for dispensing a dispensing liquid containing a prescribed substance to a target region the dispensing device being equipped with a storage unit for storing the dispensing liquid a drive unit for imparting dispensing energy a pressurization unit for pressurizing the dispensing liquid stored in the storage unit by using the dispensing energy from the drive unit and an injection unit for injecting the dispensing liquid that has been pressurized by the pressurization to the target region through an injection port. In addition during the transition to injection pressure of the dispensing liquid which corresponds to the generation of the dispensing energy the pressurization unit pressurizes the dispensing liquid so as to achieve a convergent state of vibrations within a prescribed interval from starting to build pressure during the transition to injection pressure and in a manner such that the ratio of the initial peak value of a first vibration element to the peak value of another vibration element which follows the first vibration element in the vibrations within the prescribed period is greater than 1 and no greater than a prescribed first ratio. As a result it is possible to reduce invasiveness for the target region when dispensing.
