Disclosed are suspension concentrate compositions comprising by weight basedon the total weight of the composition, about 0.1 to about 40% of at least onecarboxamide arthropodicide； 0 to about 20% of at least one other biologicallyactive agent； about 30 to about 95% of at least one water-immiscible liquidcarrier； about 2 to about 50% of at least one emulsifier； about 0.01 to about10% of a silica thickener； about 0.1 to about 10% of at least one proticsolvent selected from water, a C1-C12 alkanol and a C2-C3 glycol； and about0.001 to about 5% of at least one water-soluble carboxylic acid. Thisinvention also relates to a method for controlling an arthropod pestcomprising diluting said suspension concentrate composition with water, andoptionally adding an adjuvant to form a diluted composition, and contactingthe arthropod pest or its environment with an effective amount of said dilutedcomposition.
