A blood vessel detecting device is disclosed. The blood vessel detecting device includes an infrared ray transmitting part for transmitting near infrared rays near the back of a user′s hand, an infrared ray receiving part for detecting near-infrared rays reflected from blood vessels in the back of the hand, an image processing part for generating a blood vessel image near the back of the hand, a display part for outputting the generated blood vessel image, and a band part for mounting the blood vessel detection device in the vicinity of the wrist. The band part is associated with a support member that supports the user′s wrist.
