PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable radiation image forming apparatus which displays information on a radiation image or the like with minimum configuration change without reducing handleability or portability.SOLUTION: A display unit 119 including a housing case 121, and a plate-like display part 120 having a display surface on which an image or the like is displayed, and supported in the housing case 121 so as to slide and move relative to the housing case 121, is attached to a surface opposite to a surface to be irradiated 72 of a housing 70 of an electronic cassette. The display part 120 is developed to the outside of the housing case 121 (outside of the housing 70) by developing operation of sliding and moving in a direction (direction shown by an arrow D) to be pulled out from the housing case 121, and housed in the housing case 121 by housing operation of sliding and moving in a direction (direction shown by an arrow E) to be inserted in the housing case 121.
