To provide a low-cost absorbent auxiliary pad capable of properly preventing leakage of a loose passage.SOLUTION: An absorbent auxiliary pad 10 comprises an absorbent body 11 and a flap part 15. The absorbent body 11 comprises a columnar absorber 12 having flexibility, and a first liquid permeable surface material 13 covering the absorber 12. Both ends in a longer direction Y of the absorbent body 11 are closed. A cross sectional shape of the absorbent body 11 is roughly circular. A peripheral length of the cross section is 60 mm to 140 mm. A length Lin the longer direction Y of the absorber 12 is 800 mm to 1,500 mm. The flap part 15 comprises a second liquid permeable surface material 16, and is provided above the absorbent body 11 and at three points of both end parts and a central part in the longer direction Y of the absorbent body 11.
