PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-component intraocular lens that is implanted in a human eye, and includes one or more foldable and removable components.SOLUTION: One component acts as a base lens 1000 and includes a slotted flange 1005. Another component acts as an optical assembly capable of including an upper lens coupled to or integrated with an intermediate lens 2000. The upper lens 3000, the intermediate lens 2000 and the optical assembly can include at least one protrusion 2100 engaging with a slot of a base lens. The upper lens 3000 and the intermediate lens 2000 are manufactured from an adhesive material.
