The invention relates to methods for studying the functions of the endothelium. A method includes the following steps: applying a pneumatic cuff onto a portion of an extremity increasing the pressure in the cuff until systolic pressure is reached increasing the pressure in the cuff above systolic pressure using at least one sensor for recording the value of the pressure in the cuff and for recording pulsations of the volume determining, before and after increasing the pressure in the cuff, the correlation between the amplitude of the pulsations of a volume of an artery to be studied and the magnitude of transmural pressure in a given portion of the artery assessing the condition of endothelial cells in accordance with the determined correlation. The invention increases the accuracy of determining the condition of endothelial cells of an arterial wall.Linvention concerne des procédés détude de la fonction de lendothélium. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : placer sur une section dune extrémité un manchon pneumatique augmenter la pression dans le manchon jusquà atteindre la pression systolique augmenter la pression dans le manchon de manière à dépasser la pression systolique enregistrer la valeur de pression dans le manchon et la présence de pulsations volumétrique à laide dau moins un capteur déterminer la dépendance de lamplitude des pulsations volumétriques de lartère étudiée par rapport à la valeur de la pression transmurale dans la section donnée de lartère avant et après avoir augmenté la pression dans le manchon et en fonction de la dépendance déterminée, estimer létat des cellule de lendothélium.
