PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture apparatus capable of always keeping clean the whole area of a sand layer which is a habitat environment for underwater creatures such as crustacean that live in sandy soil, and producing high quality underwater creatures that live in sandy soil at a fast growth rate and in high density.SOLUTION: A culture apparatus includes a culture tank 10, and water supply pipes 20 arranged on the bottom of the culture tank 10 at constant intervals, the water supply pipes 20 being provided with jetting ports 21 at constant intervals on the side face. Water is jetted from the jetting ports 21 to the lateral side with a horizontal direction as a center. The water jetted from the jetting ports 21 is interrupted by the bottom face of the culture tank 10, changes generally to an upward water flow, and penetrates a sand layer 11 from the bottom to the top. When the upward water flow penetrates the sand layer 11, contaminants such as a residual feed, excrement, and exuvia captured in the sand layer 11 can be discharged to a water layer 12 above the sand layer 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3【課題】甲殻類等の砂地生息水中生物の生息環境である砂層の全面を常時清潔に保ち、高品質の砂地生息水中生物を、速い成長速度で、高密度で生産できる養殖装置を提供する。【解決手段】養殖装置は、養殖槽10と、前記養殖槽10の底部に一定の間隔で配設される給水配管20と、を有し、前記給水配管20が、側面に一定のピッチで噴出口21を備え、前記噴出口21から、水平方向を中心として側方に水を噴出し、前記噴出口21から噴出した水は養殖槽10の底面に遮られて全体的に上向きの水流に変化し、砂層11を下から上に透過する。この上向きの水流が砂層11を透過することで砂層11に捕捉されている残餌、糞、脱皮からなどの汚染物を砂層11の上方の水層12に放出することが出来る。【選択図】図3
