Systems and methods in accordance with embodiments of the invention implement head accessories that can provide protection from radiation. In one embodiment, a head accessory that provides protection from radiation includes: a body of material that is a barrier to at least some form of radiation where the body of material is configured so that it can couple with an article of wear that is adapted to be worn on or around the head and where the body of material is sized to protect the side of a wearers face from at least approximately the wearers temple to approximately below the wearers cheek when the body of material is coupled to the article of wear and the article of wear is worn.Les systèmes et procédés selon les modes de réalisation de linvention concernent des accessoires de protection de la tête contre le rayonnement.
