PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new means for removing gas adverse to freshness maintenance discharged from a fresh product such as a garden stuff.SOLUTION: There is provided a composition of a freshness maintenance material for maintaining freshness of a fresh product such as a garden stuff by absorbing gas emitted from the fresh product such as a garden stuff. In the composition of the freshness maintenance material containing cyclodextrin, cyclodextrin is a host not including a guest molecule or an inclusion complex including the guest molecule.
