The device comprises a waist belt； a posterior assembly coupled to waist belt and having a center pad； a first leg assembly coupled to the waist belt and positioned on one side of the posterior assembly having a first protective pad； a second leg coupled to the waist belt and positioned on the opposing side of the posterior assembly having assembly having a second protective pad； a first impact distributing hip component coupled to the first leg assembly； and a second impact distributing hip component coupled to the second leg assembly.
