PURPOSE: Miscanthus sacchariflorus named Wooram is provided to function as a raw material for environmentally-friendly construction materials and high density pellet fuel. CONSTITUTION: Miscanthus sacchariflorus, which is named Wooram, is tetraploid Miscanthus sacchariflorus Benth. and has 76 chromosomes. In the polymorphism analyzing process with a N8018 random primer, one band exists at 1,800bp and has morphological features as follows. The lower part of a stem is dark violet, and the inside of the stem is hollow. The number of sprouts is 51±； 8/m^2. The length of the stem is 313±； 32cm. The diameter of a ground stem is 9.7±；1.0mm. The quantity of dried plants is 19.6±；1.5 ton/ha. The miscanthus sacchariflorus is cultivated using the callus of the miscanthus sacchariflorus (Accession number: KCTC12088BP).본 발명은 간장과 경태가 크고 굵어 마른 줄기 생산량이 많으며 속이 비어있어 선 출원된 ‘거대억새1호’와 다른 물억새 식물체 '우람'에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 ‘우람’은 단위면적당 마른 줄기 수량이 많아 단기적으로는 이미 실용화된 펄프, 친환경 건축자재 및 고밀도 펠릿 연료의 원료로 이용할 수 있고 장기적으로 바이오에탄올 원료로 이용이 가능하다.
