The present disclosure is directed to a method for treating a disease ordisorder in a patient at risk of developing anNSAID-associated ulcer by administering a pharmaceutical composition in unitdose form comprising naproxen, or pharmaceuticallyacceptable salt thereof, and esomeprazole, or pharmaceutically acceptable saltthereof. The unit dose is designed to release atleast a part of the esomeprazole independent of pH (e.g. at a pH of 0 or more)whereas the naproxen is not released until the pH orthe surrounding medium is 3.5 or higher.
