In some examples, there is provided an apparatus for housing and dispensing dental floss, the apparatus comprising: a first compartment integrally formed with a second compartment wherein the first compartment is configured, in use, to house dental floss wherein the second compartment is configured, in use, to provide user access to a length of the stored dental floss for dispensement therefrom wherein at least the second compartment is closed by a sealing member and wherein at least a portion of the sealing member is configured to be detachable to provide user access to the interior of the second compartment so as to provide, in use, access to the length of the stored dental floss for dispensement.
