The present invention relates to a side rail lifting and lowering device for a bed which safely lifts and unfolds a side rail and folds and lowers the side rail by hands in a reversed manner. The side rail lifting/lowering device includes a support frame attached to a bed frame； a side rail moving up and down while a post provided at the rail frame vertically penetrates the support frame； and a fixing member for fixing the position of the side rail. The fixing member has a body attached to an upper portion of the rail frame and having an opening at the bottom surface of an inner groove, a post fixed at a fixed end and engaged to one side of the groove of the body and having an incision at the side of a lower portion, a manually operated handle inserted into the groove and having a bottom gripping portion exposed through the opening, an operating bar coupled to one side of the operating handle and inserted into the fixing post, an operating ball being provided at a lower end of the operating bar, and a stopper engaged with the support frame by operation of the operating handle below the fixing post to fix or release the support frame, thereby lifting or lowering the side rail by way of fixing or releasing.본 발명은 침대용 사이드레일 승강장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세히는 사이드레일을 안전하게 들어올려 펼치고 역으로 손쉽게 접어 내릴 수 있는 편의성을 제공하고자, 본 발명은 침대프레임에 부착되는 지지프레임, 레일프레임에 구비되는 포스트가 상기 지지프레임에 수직으로 관통한 채 상하로 작동하는 사이드레일, 상기 사이드레일의 위치를 고정하기 위한 고정수단으로 된 침대용 사이드레일 승강장치에 있어서, 상기 고정수단은, 상기 레일프레임의 상부에 부착되며 내측 홈부의 밑면에 개구부를 가지는 몸체； 상기 몸체의 홈부 일측에 결합되며 하부 측면에 절개부가 있는 고정측 포스트； 상기 홈부에 투입되고 밑면 그립부가 개구부를 통해 하향 노출된 채 수동으로 조작하게 되는 작동핸들； 상기 작동핸들의 일측에 결합하여 고정측 포스트에 삽입되며 하단에 작동구를 가지는 작동바； 상기 고정측 포스트의 하부에서 작동핸들의 조작에 의해 지지프레임에 맞물리면서 고정 또는 역으로 고정을 해제함에 따라 상기 사이드레일이 승강 가능하게 되는 스토퍼；로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 침대용 사이드레일 승강장치를 제안한다.
