PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved mastication frequency detecting device for detecting mastication sound using a microphone provided in an earphone type case to count mastication frequency.
SOLUTION: The mastication frequency detecting device 1, including a mastication sound detector 2 provided with the high-sensitivity microphone 4 and an amplifying circuit 5 in the earphone type case 3 insertable in an external ear, counts the mastication sound detected by the mastication sound detector 2, measures the mastication frequency, displays it on a monitor part 15, and generates predetermined voice from a speaker 16 when the mastication frequency reaches a predetermined number.
