PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide film coating compositions in which adhesion between tablets hardly occurs even when coated using PVA with saponification degree of 85.0 to 89.0 mol% and adding no additives other than PVA, to provide oral solid formulations using the same, and to provide manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: Provided is a film coating composition containing a PVA polymer having an average saponification degree of 85.0 to 89.0 mol%, which satisfies the following requirement (A) or (B). Requirement (A): The transparency of a solution obtained by adding 130.0 ml of 1-propanol to 100.0 g of a 5.0% by mass aqueous solution of a PVA polymer and stirring the solution is 50.0% or less at 20°C.
