PURPOSE: A composition containing PPARdelta-specific ligand is provided to activate the PPARdelta and to effectively prevent or treat AAA(abdominal aortic aneurysm). CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating abdominal aortic aneurysm contains PPARdelta-specific ligand. The ligand activates an extracellular substrate. The extracellular substrate is collagen type, elastine, fibronectin, or TGF-beta 1.
