Reconstitution of cytotoxic drugs, for the treatment of cancer and the like, may be hazardous to the technician required to perform such tasks. The present disclosure provides an automatic or semi-automatic preparation system and process for forming a medicament solution from a vial containing a cytotoxic drug (whether a liquid or non-liquid). The system includes a carousel including a manipulator and configured to provide three axes of motion； at least one component holder； and at least one of transfer station, rotation station and a weigh station disposed about the carousel.
