PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator capable of generating ultrasonic mist while agitating a mist generating liquid for generating ultrasonic mist with a liquid column.SOLUTION: The mist generator includes: a storage tank 1 in which the mist generating liquid 2 is stored an ultrasonic transducer 3 disposed in the mist generating liquid and a reflection plate 4 for reflecting the vibration energy outputted from the ultrasonic transducer 3 and ejecting the liquid columns 5 from the liquid surface of the mist generating liquid 2.
