PURPOSE: A mental disorder treatment apparatus and a method using color temperature control of light are provided to maximize the effectiveness of mental disorder treatment by irradiating light with color temperature suitable for a specific brain wave characteristic in which mental disorder such as affective disorder has after measuring the brain wave of a human. CONSTITUTION: A mental disorder treatment apparatus using color temperature of light includes a brain wave measurement unit (20) measuring brain wave, a brain wave analysis unit (21) analyzing the brain wave measured by the brain wave measurement unit, a light emitting diode (LED) lighting module (10) capable of controlling color temperature, a color temperature/brain wave table (30) recording a plurality of brain wave state data corresponding to a brain wave state and color temperature corresponding to each brain wave state data and a main control unit. The main control unit searches brain wave state data corresponding to an analysis result of the brain wave analysis unit from the color temperature/brain wave table and controls the LED to irradiate light with the color temperature corresponding to the searched brain wave state data through the LED lighting module.
