PURPOSE: A composition for removing an odor of sewage sludge or food waste and a method for removing the odor using the same are provided to treat the deodorization composition directly in the sludge, thereby ensuring an excellent deodorization effect for ammonia and hydrogen sulfide which are the cause of the odor.CONSTITUTION: A composition for deodorizing a sewage sludge consists of 5-30 weight% of carbonate and 70-95 weight% of percarbonate. The carbonate is selected from the group of lithium carbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and dolomite.
