The aim of the present invention is to devise an improved tongue cleaner which has an improved cleaning effect. According to the invention the tongue cleaner has a substantially disk shaped base (2) which on its use end front face (18) is provided with a profiled portion (22) suitable for scraping off superficial coats adhering to the human tongue and forms a tube connection (6) that communicates with the profiled portion (22).
