IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO ANTI-PARASITARY COMPOSITIONS. The present invention relates to nano-dispersed anti-parasites and provides a composition comprising at least one water-insoluble anti-parasitic drug, a water-soluble carrier material, where water-insoluble anti-parasitic drug (preferably an artemisinin or a drug of the type quinine) is dispersed through the carrier material in a nano-dispersed form with a peak diameter of the nano-dispersed form less than 1000 nm. The invention further provides for an aqueous dispersion of a water-insoluble anti-parasitic drug and a water-soluble carrier material, where the anti-parasitic drugs are in nano-dispersed form with a peak diameter of the nano-dispersed form less than 1000 nm , the invention further provides a process for preparing a water-insoluble anti-parasitic composition, comprising a water-insoluble anti-parasitic agent and a water-soluble carrier, comprising the steps of: a) providing an emulsion comprising a solution of the agent anti-parasitic in a water-immiscible solvent for it, and an aqueous carrier solution, or provide a mixture comprising at least one non-aqueous solvent, optional water, a water-soluble carrier material soluble in the mixture and anti-parasitic agent insoluble in water soluble in the mixture, and, b) dry the emulsion (preferably spray drying) to remove water and solve immiscible in water to obtain a nano-dispersion of the anti-parasitic agent in the carrier substantially free of solvent.MELHORIAS RELACIONADAS A COMPOSIÇÕES ANTI-PARASITÁRIAS.
