PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a securer low-cost system with which an agrochemical for paddy rice such as a herbicide, an insecticide, a fungicide to be sprayed to a paddy field is prevented from flowing out of the system. SOLUTION: After the agrochemical 40 is sprayed to the paddy field after completion of puddling and rice planting, powder 10 of charcoal formed from chaff is uniformly applied to the paddy field. The agrochemical 40 is dissolved and diffused in water 20 in the paddy field, is partially adsorbed on surface soil 30 in the paddy field and desorbed again in water 20 in the paddy field. When irrigation water is poured into the paddy field or a lot of rain falls in the paddy field, the agrochemical in the paddy field flows out from the surface of the paddy field and flows into a river, the powder 10 of charcoal formed from chaff settles on the surface soil 30 in the paddy field to cover the surface soil in a filmy state, adsorbs and retains the agrochemical 40' to be desorbed from the surface soil 30 in the paddy field and the agrochemical 40" contained in water in the paddy field by its porous structure. The powder 10 of charcoal formed from chaff prevents the agrochemical 40 from flowing out into a river and contaminating the river without reducing its effect. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
