PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter having a simple configuration which rewraps a balloon in a good condition when the balloon is deflated.SOLUTION: The balloon catheter 10 includes a tubular outer shaft 30 connected to the rear end side of the balloon 20, an inner shaft 40 inserted into the outer shaft 30 and connected to the distal end side of the balloon 20, and turning means attached to the outer shaft 30, pulling the inner shaft 40 in the rear end direction with respect to the outer shaft 30 and turning the inner shaft 40 in a direction A opposite to a folding direction B of the balloon 20. By operating the turning means while the balloon 20 is deflated, deflection of the inner shaft 40 is canceled and the balloon 20 is directed to return to an original folded condition.
