PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aroma generation device capable of maintaining an optimal resonance frequency of a SAW device and performing atomization of a liquid preferably.SOLUTION: An aroma generation device 30 sucks a liquid containing an aromatic material by a micro pump part 50 and drops the liquid from a tip part of a tube 53. A SAW device 40 comprises drive IDTs 42a, 42b for exciting an elastic surface wave by application of an AC voltage signal S11b on a piezoelectric substrate 41. The aroma generation device further comprises a drive circuit 90 for generating an AC drive signal Vo for driving a pump 52 according to control of a control part 70. The aroma generation device further comprises a temperature sensor 60 for detecting temperature of the piezoelectric substrate 41, and the control part 70 controls a frequency of the AC voltage signal S11b to become an optimal drive frequency capable of performing optimal atomization of the liquid to be dropped to the SAW device 40 from the tip part of the tube 53 by the elastic surface wave, according to the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
